Some FAQ's for BLML.
- If you just received a mail with subject:
- "your mail to blml awaits moderator approval" and/or
- "your mail to blml contains a suspicious header"
or similar, please read and understand the following: BLML uses
strict spam filters to reject the literally 100's of spam mails it gets
on an average day. Occasionally a mail cannot be classified by the spam
filters. In that case, the mail is put in a separate queue, a human
has to decide if the posting is related to the game of bridge. If it
is, your posting will appear on the list in the next day or two.
There is no need to take further action.
- My posting from a different account did not make it to the list.
Great. This is how things should work. Seriously, mails from
non-subscribers are automatically rejected by the list software.
If you sent mail from a different account, you are not recognized as
a subscriber and your mail is discarded too. Send your mail from
the account that you subscribed with, or subscribe twice. If this
causes problems for you, contact me.
- If you did send in an administrative request:
Common tasks such as subscribing, unsubscribing, changing mail addresses,
suspending/enabling mail, can be done through a webinterface. Start up
Mozilla or Internet Explorer and enter:
and scroll down to "blml subscribers". Enter your mail address and
password. There are instructions on what to do when you forgot your
password. Everything else should be self-explanatory. If you did succeed
